"Hope can be a powerful force. Maybe there's no actual magic in it, but when you know what you hope for most and hold it like a light within you, you can make things happen, almost like magic." - Liani Taylor
As I had read this book it gave such a thrilling experience that would take anyone’s breath away in an instant. When reading I felt quite excited to find out what happens, than changes in a heartbeat to the opposite direction in which I had expected. Even the fact of switching between characters was phenomenal. Although, the switching between characters would confuse anyone, it would always peak the reader’s interest in some form. Also, there were lessons I had learned while reading Under the Dome. A lesson that I had learned was how anything that you try will have an effect either on you or someone else. Besides, as a reader you learn that you have to think things through in any way to make sure there was nothing missed when planning. Even making you have to think outside of the box while others think more common ways to solve issues. Though the lesson can be applied daily, you learn some when you are reading. For example, I learned how to pick out character’s personality traits in what makes them who they are. Which can help out tremendously when predicting what the character will do next. Except if you expect the character to do one thing, but does the complete opposite. Most readers will assume similar things about characters based on how they analyze. After I finished reading Under the Dome, I began to wonder if might be relatable things that happen today or in the future like people being completely isolated in materials in which are unknown to them or the government. However, with some of the corruption that happens in Chester Mill’s small city government had helped me find a few ways that are quite similar within our government. Not many will notice it until later on, which is distinctively shown in Under the Dome. Even with having numerous folks trapped, you have to keep hope in some form. Just like with the main character Dale, he would find ways to get the dome off for all the towns folk to escape. Although most did not work, Dale learned from his mistakes to figure out the solution. Which allowed more people to help and encourage others of their survival.
